Introduction to Cabin Crew NCFE Level 2 Certificate

This course is designed to give you the knowledge and ability to become cabin crew. The course mirrors some of the training available within the industry with practical experiences and employment prospects. The course is backed by Monarch, Thomas Cook and BMI which guarantees interviews upon successful completion of the course.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications are necessary to complete the certificate, only a good level of written and spoken English. The course is aimed at those with a genuine interest in the travel industry and who would like to become air cabin crew.

Course content

You will look at different aspects of cabin crew training including customer care, food and drink service, first aid and emergency procedures. Of course, it would not be complete without using the life jackets and pointing out the exits!

Units include:

  • Working as cabin crew
  • Airline health, safety and security
  • Aircraft emergency situations
  • Dealing with passengers on board an aircraft
  • Cabin service – selling techniques
  • Making passenger announcements on board an aircraft

Assessment methods

You will be continuously assessed as you progress through the course. You will also take a multiple choice test.

Further study and career options

Last year we visited the British Airways Training Academy at Heathrow Airport where students took part in emergency procedures including evacuating a smoke filled cabin, putting out fires - and of course going down the emergency slide.

Additional information

A genuine interest in cabin crew is essential for this course. You must be willing to participate and work as part of a team and independently. Smart dress is essential. There will be a trip fee cost of around £100 which must be paid on enrolment (Direct Debit optional).

Pay by instalments

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 7 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
