This one day Introduction to Mentoring within Education course is intended for people who wish to progress into a job as Mentor within Education. It is a ’Hands-on’ course which offers a practical exploration of the role and responsibilities of a mentor in education.

Entry requirements

No previous experience of mentoring is required, however your focus should be on an intention to move into a mentoring role in the future.

Course content

This introductory course will be ‘hands on’ and will cover aspects such as;
• Coaching and mentoring processes
• Completing the coaching and mentoring process
• Coaching and mentoring process evaluation

Assessment methods

There is no formal assessment for this course. You will receive a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ on completion.

Further study and career options

On completion of the course you could move on to the Coaching & Mentoring CMI Level 3 Certificate.
