Organisations & Behaviour (HNC/HND Unit)

This course gives an understanding of individual and group behaviour in organisations and examines current theories and their application in managing behaviour in the workplace.

Entry requirements

Two A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification. We welcome students with relevant work experience subject to a successful interview.

Course content

Understand the relationship between organisational structure and culture and different approaches to management and leadership. Use of motivational theories and mechanisms for effective teamwork. You may also consider completing the full HNC/D in Business Management.

Assessment methods

You will be assessed using a variety of methods including, written, multiple choice, oral and practical. There are no external examinations. The assessment will develop your work related skills such as analysis, problem solving, decision making, communication and presentation skills. These will enhance your self-confidence allowing you to progress your career aims.

Further study and career options

You may progress to other university-level units or courses.

Additional information

Attendance will be one evening a week for 10 weeks.
